LAEL LEARNING CENTRE is a community school that operates under our children’s centre; this school was started with an idea of giving a quality education. Currently, we are operating as a kindergarten and still aiming for more classes and construct it up to grade 7. This is something we have prayed for always and we participated in laying 30,000 bricks that we used to construct this kindergarten building. This was joint effort of vision of hope children’s centre Uganda, the local community and all our generosity donors and well-wishers.

Our curriculum provides basic education, enriched with life skills and training as a way of unlocking potential that is naturally built within, in order to transform their lives for a future responsible citizen.

We are sure all who have participated in the construction of the community school from the time we started thinking about building it to the level we are now will be remembered for many Generations and we always say will never die since your hand will still operate in restoring hope to all who will go through this community school.

MADRINE’S STORY

Madrine joined our children’s centre on 29th August 2021 as a 7 year little girl whose life was in a very bad situation. By this time at a visual site everyone thought she was 2 years because of her malnourished body growth. At 4 years Madrine was abandoned on a road side by her mother who could no longer afford taking care of her because she was not receiving any support from Madrine’s father who had married a second wife and was not taking his responsibility anymore. This innocent angel was picked by a good Samaritan who read the note her mother had left with her laid on the road side, this helped her recognize madrine’s age, and name. This lady brought Madrine to our director Tamale, who posted about her on all our social and took good care for her by taking her for medication and added nutritional food to her as advised by the pediatrician called Dr. Anitah from masaka children’s clinic. Currently madrine’s life is a communal testimony that everyone talks about, madrine can now walk, smile, and she is health. It took us 4 months to see her with a hopefilled smile. We thank all that contributed towards madrines life. Currently she needs a monthly sponsor

TAMALE’S STORY AND TESTMONY TO GROWTH AND HOPE RESTORATION. When I write about the African mother it does not mean that I have just seen this without experience but personally I have experienced this as I grew up with a single mother called Betty and this was a great experience to me. My father had many wives and this made him abandon some of his families and children I saw my mother suffering to bring us up, we were six neglected children and of that number am the fifth. The actual number would be eight but my mother had miscourage to twins during the fifth period of her pregnancy and after that she bore me and I took the position of the twins.
My mother is one of the most loving mothers in the world, my birth too was full of complication and my mother was even about to lose me in the process of my growth but God knew who I ought to be in the world. His purpose was divine for my living.
MY MOTHER’S NARRATION AS I GROW
At my birth my mother was taken to a local midwife who even failed to help her yet it was the real time for me to be out of her womb. She was sent to Masaka referral hospital as an emergence by the local midwife who even never followed her to the referral. A few of her friends went with her in fear of what may happen to both of us, my mother’s life and my life were in trouble. As they entered into the hospital at the steers heading to the maternity ward she felt the baby was coming out at a speed. It is when she was helped to deliver me. As I grew, she has always repeatedly said this story and I could feel small but today I am proud to say this story in hope restoration. Many mothers in Africa are going through the same situation, I thank God I am living today and my mother did not die that day but some mothers lose their lives and some children also lose lives in such reckless issue. I call upon our reader to gain a heart of hope restoration to such parents and their children because it is risky to both the mother and the child hence losing someone who would be of a great value in the world. Imagine, in case I had died who would take the part of hope restoration to orphans that the Lord is using me, would actually vision of hope children’s centre Uganda exist! So when such a person is helped, the nation may be blessed because I discovered that every person has got ability in his or her life. During those days, we were renting a single muddy room in the rural area of Masaka called kimaanya at a price of 1.3 US DOLLAR per month, that we even failed to raise in a month due to a pressure of more responsibilities at home like searching for food and clothes and all this was to be catered for buy a single mother. This single room was shares by a mother and six children, it was small in size and it was also occupied with a lot of things that were even of no value. In this room we only had one bed and this belonged to mother and my little sister and the others we share two old small mattresses. The house roof was linking, whenever it could rain we would not sleep that night. We were not schooling, not until a vent doctor called aunt Eva came to immunize animals at the village chair person’s place and saw us moving up and down as vargabons, She wrote my name and my brother’s name and she registered us under a child development centre that was at deliverance church Masaka, then I saw myself at school for the first time. I started school when I was 6(six) years old. Despite of my being to school, the situation at home was still not good. Though we were passing through such situation, my mother had a heart of helping other children and this inspired me much no matter what was happening but she had a helpful heart. I remember one day as some of my elder brothers went to find their only life with other relative, by that time the number of children at home was three (3). I saw mother coming in with a boy of about seventeen (17) years, and the boy had stayed on the streets of Masaka for three (3) years and he lied my mother that he lost all his parent and my mother became compassionate to him, but unfortunately after a week the boy ran from home and he ran with some of our valuables at home, but in just a number of six years the boy was shoot dead as he was found stilling people’s property in the town, which was sad news to us at home. My mother’s habit of bringing new children went on and I remember we were ten children at home and we grew up as a single family and in our midst segregation was a taboo and incase it would appear at any time this would lead to a punishment to he or she who may have been the cause, she would call us together and counsel us, reconcile us and the victim warned or punished accordingly. Personally my mother was a vender in a market and always we had to go and help her during the working hours if not at school to a few of us who were schooling. This helped us to learn how to be hard working and it was an eye opener to that everyone can work and also can restore hope that’s why I keep the fire burning of hope restoration but one another level. I want to encourage our readers that no matter how you struggle with life, there is hope for a cut tree to grow again at the presence of scent of living water. As Today I graduated as a medical laboratory technician, and also a big number of children depend on my existence. You and I can happen to restore hope with the little God has blessed us with as ascent of water, so I call upon you to join me at VISION OF HOPE CHILDREN’S CENTRE UGANDA to restore hope. When I look far in the past, I see my mother slaughtering the biggest family cock once in a year to indicate and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, through this act hope was restored to me and my siblings. Always on this day it is when we could experience the true meaning of a happy life and full of memories. This was a small occasion where we would enjoy ourselves. It would seem to be a mere act but it could bring us re union as a family.

WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT US

“ As a person who supports Vision of Hope children’s centre uganda from the USA I’m encouraged by the work I see. The outreach efforts of staff to the community and the development of the children in a loving and supportive place is phenomenal. I dream of one day visiting this place in Uganda and speaking with these children. I know that these children and so many like them only want a chance to contribute to the world. My small contributions of money and sharing the centre with my online community is the small thing that I can do. I know that this small thing can #ChangetheWorld ”

“ “Vision of Hope Children’s Center Uganda was founded by an extraordinary young man, Tamale Ashiraf who is an inspiration to not only the children he works with, but to me as well. This organization aids children in receiving their basic needs, and I feel so blessed to be able to contribute to that. Tamale and his staff have thought of every necessary project for over 100 children. Not only does the organization provide food and fun activities, but their projects are sustainable for the livelihood of their participants. This is one of my favorite parts about Vision of Hope C.C Ug. The children are learning to be contributing members of society by learning crafts and farming that will help them earn money and skills that will last a life time. Tamale has also provided many people overseas with the opportunity to contribute to something greater than themselves and start their own projects within the organization. He has encouraged me to start the Light Laughter Dental Clinic that not only aids the participants with their oral health care, but also contributes to a lifelong career goal of mine, which is to provide dental care worldwide. It has been an exemplary experience working with this organization and I can’t wait to see how far it goes! ”

ABOUT OUR HOME DISTRCT MASAKA

Masaka is a city in the Buganda Region of Uganda, west of Lake Victoria.[2] The city is the headquarters of Masaka District.[3]
Location
Masaka is approximately 132 kilometres (82 mi) to the south-west of Kampala on the highway to Mbarara.[4] The city is close to the Equator. The coordinates of Masaka are 0°20’28.0″S, 31°44’10.0″E (Latitude:-0.341111; Longitude:31.736111).[5] Masaka lies at an average elevation of 1,288 metres (4,226 ft) above sea level.[6]
History
Masaka was founded as a township in 1953. It became a town council in 1958 and a municipality in 1968.[7] Masaka was a strategically important location during the Uganda–Tanzania War (1978–79), and was accordingly garrisoned by Uganda Army troops. These soldiers terrorized the local civilians, and most fled the town. On 23–24 February 1979, the Tanzania People’s Defence Force and allied Ugandan rebels attacked the settlement, resulting in the Battle of Masaka. The town was bombarded with artillery, and fell to the Tanzanian-led forces after light resistance. The Tanzanians subsequently levelled much of the town to take revenge for atrocities committed by the Uganda Army during its previous invasion of northwestern Tanzania.[8] In course of the Ugandan Bush War, Masaka again suffered from fighting. The town was garrisoned by the Uganda National Liberation Army which served as Uganda’s national army at the time. In late 1985, National Resistance Army rebels laid siege to the town. After heavy combat, Masaka’s garrison surrendered on 10 December 1985.[9] In 2019 the Cabinet of Uganda, resolved to award Masaka, city status effective July 2023.[2][10] In November of the same year, Cabinet revised the date of city status to 1 July 2020.[11]
Population
According to the 2002 national census, the population of Masaka was about 67,800. In 2010, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) estimated the population at 73,300. In 2011, UBOS estimated the mid-year population at 74,100.[12] In August 2014, the national population census put the population at 103,829.[1]

OUR HISTORY

Vision of Hope Children’s Centre - Uganda is a nonprofit Community Based Organization (CBO) in Masaka district. At vision of hope children’s centre Uganda we work with minors, abandoned children, street children and children whose lives are immersed in suffering, loneliness and whose rights are being mistreated through different acts. Starting this nonprofit organization came as an idea in 2018 to Tamale after the day he meet a 7 year old boy called Waswa Aloisiaous who was carrying an ant hill which weighed around 18kgs. The boy shared his story with me; he stayed with his stepmother who forced him to carry the anthill and sell it that he could raise his school fees; in Uganda the anthills are used to make heavy charcoal stoves used for cooking

We have touched lives of more than 2000 children in our community and we hope to help thousands of children through this program, currently we have 95 children under the centre, and 40 vulnerable families.
